Random Five
1. If you were a nocturnal animal, what nocturnal animal would you be?Sloth! Mmmmmm, leaf...
2. Which is better: to obey the law to avoid punishment, to obey the law because the law makes sense, or to obey the law because everyone should?I'll go with the third since fear and subjectivity shouldn't be the deciding factor.
3. Who is your favorite all time movie villian?Tough call. I'll give my top 3 (in no particular order):
- Tyrannosaurus Rex -
Jurassic Park- John Doe -
Se7en- Frank -
Once Upon a Time in the West4. Are any kind of ethics involved in wearing a hat?Do not wear a hat to a wedding ceremony. Unless you're an old Kentuckian grandmama. And even then, don't embarrass me, Gammy!
5. When is the best time for you to take a 20 minute nap? Why?Sunday afternoons with a baseball game on.

Fly Me to Saturn's MoonPart of the problem in pushing the boundaries of human space exploration is the fuel that would be needed to get to a particular destination (Mars, Titan, etc.) and also having to carry the needed fuel to get back. Well, a NASA contractor is hard at work developing an engine that runs on methane that would greatly lessen this problem (since methane is abundant throughout the universe and could most likely be gathered from any planet you explored.) That being said, as Phil Plait points out on his
Bad Astronomy site:
This particular engine had a 7,500 pound thrust, which is nice, but compare that to the 100,000 pound thrust of the GEM-40 (used on Delta II rockets) — and bearing in mind that several GEM-40s may be strapped on to a rocket — and you can see there’s a ways to go yet.
Click on the pic to see a pretty wicked demonstration...

Godbless you, Mr. RoseAs if I needed one more reason to spend more time in front of my computer screen, they had to go and create the greatest database site ever- a completely watchable
catalogue of every Charlie Rose episode! If you don't know of this wonderful show and have a penchant for honest, intelligent discussion on anything from film to architecture to technology, then I suggest you give it a gander. Pkeow...Wildcat...I'm gonna go.
