Color (Theoretically)So, I've decided that I want to paint my living room over my 'break' between quarters coming up. Which means I have about three weeks to figure out the logistics of all of that and see what supplies (especially dropcloths and a ladder) I can borrow from people in order to figure out what it'll cost me. If I can get a couple friends to help me (or bribe them to), I figure I could do it in a day or two. And since I only have a week's worth of break to work with, that'll have to do. Anyways, I'm trying to figure out the colors I want right now and threw these pictures together as a test. Let me know which you like or if there's another palette you would choose or if I should just paint a giant starfish on the wall:

Olympic FluHighlight: Watching the ice dancers continually fall and then try to recover with the cheesiest grins.
Lowlight: Lack of Conan O'Brien last week.
I will say I've seen more of these Olympics then any of the last few or four. However, that's mostly because it makes for good background noise when I'm working on projects. They're not all bad though; they just don't seem to have the awe factor they seemed to have when I was a kid. They also don't make those awesome Olympic video games anymore. Wasn't there a hacky-sack event on the old Summer one?

Whatever Will Be, Will Be Proof that there are certain products where I break the Ugly Duckling rule. When staring at a wall of wine with little to no idea of the difference between most of them, I will more often than not choose the bottle with a label that appeals to me. The guy who made this (Ralph Steadman) used to do all of Hunter S. Thompson's illustrations, so this one stood out mostly because it was so freakishly bizarre compared to all the others haha. I don't even know what a Syrah is, but it sounds like a position in the Foreign Legion. I guess this has white pepper and anise in it. Maybe I should've gone with a more typical Frenchy lookin' one...

CrumbyI don't know if anyone has seen the new Kraft Crumbles commercial, but it pulls off an amazingly retarded double-pun: 'Let's get ready to Crummmble!' with the backing music of 'You're so Crumbeliveable.' Those Ad-wizards must've spent countless seconds on that one.
