Discover Variation

Now, I'll be the first to admit that the Discovery Channel has some good programming these days: American Choppers, Mythbusters, Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, Long Way Round, etc. The point being that I catch myself watching that channel quite a bit. But here's the thing that really pokes me in the eye- do they have any variety in the commercials they broadcast? I mean, I had it on for a couple hours tonight and during I Shouldn't Be Alive they aired commercials for...wait for it...I Shouldn't Be Alive! And not just once mind you- on every break. Do I really need to be reminded that I can watch the show I'm already watching? In fact, they're interrupting me watching the show to tell me I should watch it!? Bah.

Seattle Weather Summary:

It's as though the sky has a leak in it and it's just constantly dripping.

Truly Lost

Wow, that was absolutely the worst episode of Lost, bar none. God forbid they honestly try and develop the already complicated plot lines of the original 13 characters! Instead, let's just recreate the first season with slack-eyed super-bitch and her pals. Ooh, and maybe we could just throw away any sense of pace or suspense and then tack on an ending that just recaps the last three episodes- with tons of fades and jungle drums! Good job, Monkeys~ I knew we could trust your writing skills. Here's a banana.

Sad Day in the Little Apple

Man, I really didn't expect this to happen so soon: Apparently, Bill Snyder, the head football coach at Kansas State, is planning to announce his retirement tomorrow. He's been at my alma mater for the last 17 years and has achieved what many widely consider to be the greatest turnaround of a program in college football history. The apex of which was our thorough drubbing of Oklahoma in 2004's Big XII Championship (A game I am proud to say I attended). The Wildcats have struggled since then, but I didn't expect Snyder to step down for at least a few more years. I don't know of any specific plans for anyone to replace him either. Anyways, that's really sad news and I wish I could be there this weekend for his final game...
At least I can say I was there for his glory years!

It's another Saturday night...

Well, I was hoping to get work done on a couple school projects today as well as begin a revamp on my site. Unfortunately, that turned into talking on the phone to various people for a few hours, cooking dinner for a couple more, then cleaning/organizing/laundering all while watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing television. My main question being- does anyone really find SNL funny anymore? I've given it numerous chances since the mid-90s, but it continues to disappoint. However, after it ended I was treated to a lame 90s ripoff based in Seattle called 'Almost Live'. A better title would've been 'Almost Funny'. Actually, 'Bad Sense of Humour' would be most appropriate. Regardless, it's been a pretty drab day and not just weather-wise. Here's hoping tomorrow's a little more fruitful...

How do people take you seriously!?

Further proof that Catholicism is the biggest joke in the world. How does a theory that promotes a chaotic beginning to the universe (i.e. no order) mesh with the theory of God creating it? Idiots.
