You're Under Arrest; Hey, Nice Watch!

First in my series of pictures I have forgotten to post over the past few months or so:

My question is, shouldn't the narcotics dealers be able to outbid me?

I guess it comes after 'Z'

So, I'm trying to comment on Jules blog when I notice something strange about the verification code:

How in the hell am I supposed to type that first letter?

Pompous Assity

Overheard classmate discussing his storyboard idea for an Alan Ginsberg poem:

"I was thinking something along the lines of that scene from the Matrix, ya know? Where they're all dancing and it's just like the coolest party ever."

Oh ye of little knowledge...

Mug Shot

I just witnessed a mugging about an hour ago. Dave and I had gone to the U-District for a couple of pints and were walking back to his house when we saw/heard a man yelling for help across the street. We both were quite taken aback and confused (there was a homeless man standing five feet away that wasn't doing anything). The mugger was grappling with a man and eventually threw him to the ground and began beating him. I thought of running across the street to help, but was worried that the mugger might be armed so I immediately called the police. Whilst on the phone, though, the mugger ran off with the man's wallet. I had to stay around to give the police my information on what I saw. I'm still quite shaken by the whole incident. No matter how many times I witness abrupt violence of that sort I still can't comprehend it. What drives people to such horrific means? Why would no car stop? Why did the homeless man not try to help? Why didn't I run and tackle the mugger? Looking the victim in his face and seeing his eye swollen and his whole body shaken...it made me feel so ashamed and embarrassed that I (or anyone else) didn't do more to help. And the man stated that he only had $5-10 in his wallet. Which leads me to think that the mugger probably tossed the wallet and hid before the police even arrived. Maybe these things are more commonplace in bigger cities, but it doesn't make them any less jarring to comprehend.

I'm Considering a Trip to L.A.

I booked the trip this evening to head down to Smogtown for a Thanksgiving vacation. Actually, I'll only be flying out of L.A. and into Long Beach where Cousin Ryan will be picking me up to spend the few days with his family (including a trip to Disneyland...I think haha.) Word is Erin (Ryan's sis) and my Aunt (who's living in Indonesia at the moment) will be joining us. Curiouser and curiouser. I need to get back to my 'art'ing now...

I've Got Something to Say!

One of my teachers looks just like Mr. Jellineck! No sign of Noblet, yet.

It's Been a While

Hey faithful (and accidental) readers! I'm officially a Seattlite! Yeah, they had the ceremony down at Pier 66 this last weekend: Got the key to the city; Met Bill Gates; Soundgarden reunited to sing me a few songs. It was a decent reception, I suppose. It's an interesting city to say the least. Everyone seems to prefer wearing black. Not that there's anything wrong with that...but then again you'd think with all the overcast weather people might want to add a lil color to their wardrobe (purple leis anyone?) I have the last of my first classes (?) tonight at the Institute. Hopefully, I'll be able to judge my workload then. For now, I'm gonna finish my morning cup of coffee - Mr. Starbuck hand delivered it this morning.
