Royally Frustrated

What a day of dissapointments. I wake up as tired as I was when I went to bed. Work was painfully slow and unlucrative. Mongolian was closed for 'remodeling' until Thursday (That'll be interesting to see). My habitual late-night bowl of cereal turned soggy rather quickly and also seemed to upset my stomach. And, man, it's getting hard to watch the Royals! How many times can we not show up for a game!? ARGH!

SPAM of a Different Nature

Alright, I'm getting pretty sick of this. Now, not only do I get to have untold amounts of unwarranted emails bombarding my multiple accounts, but I also have them constantly attacking my text messaging on my cell phone! Granted, it only takes a second to delete, but when I receive 103 messages over the past month (that's about 3 per day for those mathematically challenged readers) and I am being charged for these messages, it starts to wear on my patience. Calling the cell phone company to complain got me this genius answer: "Well, even though these messages are supposed to be blocked, the only sure way to prevent them is to change your number." Thanks, Matlock; Why don't I just open new email accounts and move to a new apartment every month too. So, this is me urging anyone who reads this to write your Senator (Mr. Brownback for you Kansans) to complain about this ridiculousness and idiotocity. You know, for the kids!

TV on my Blog

I had heard many things about Sports Night from Adam and Joey Joe Joe last year, but had never actually watched any of it, that is until yesterday. Around mid-afternoon (3 o'clock let's say), Joe dropped by with his recently purchased set of Sports Night. So I meandered out into the living room to give it a shot...roughly around 2am we stopped watching it. It's quite a fun show if a little predictable at times. Im kinda curious as to why the show was cancelled (Did it just never catch on?). It reminded me of Andy and I and our Six Feet Under marathons of last year. Yep. Good times.

(And may I also voice my disapproval of the removal of Max Kellerman from Around the Horn. Shame on you, ESPN!
Shame...

Back in Blue

Yesterday was Opening Day for America's Pastime again and the Royals were back in action at Kauffman. Man, what a game! Our pitching looked pretty bad the entire day with Brian Anderson getting rocked for 5 runs in 5 innings. Things weren't looking good after the 8th (down 7-3 with the bottom of our lineup coming up), so a good portion of the "fans" left for the parking lot. If they watched the Royals last year, though, they would've known better. The Royals rallied in the ninth scoring 6 runs off of a double and two home runs (Each one landing around 420 ft from homeplate!) and sent the remaining fans into a frenzy! What a great way to start the season. Largest Opening Day crowd ever for the Royals, too. I can't wait to see what else they have in store for the rest of the season...

My Pardons...

You'll have to forgive me for not posting much in the last week or so. Last Tuesday (two Tuesdays ago I guess), I had to go to the Emergency Room because I was having really bad stomach aches. It reminded me of my appendicitis from a few years ago and if any of you know of that story it wasn't an ordeal I wanted to re-experience. So after an hour or so in the E.R. they told me that all the pain was actually from a gall stone! They ended up operating on me that night (which wasnt the most pleasant experience, but it was a lot easier than having my worthless appendix almost kill me) and I spent the night there. Anyways, it really drained me and I haven't felt like posting much. The stomach aches seemed to have subsided though, so I'll be up and kicking in no time.
